Maternity & Paternity

When an employee informs you they are pregnant there is a set process to follow and certain letters and maternity documents are required to complete this process correctly. Maternity leave must be managed and documented to ensure the process is logged with dates etc. Paternity leave as from April 2011 also has some rather complex implications due to the father being able to share up to 26 weeks of the mothers maternity leave, therefore a similar process of documents is required for paternity leave to also ensure you have followed the correct process. Many issues arise from undocumented Maternity Leave and Paternity Leave. Our set of documents including a Maternity Leave Policy and Paternity Leave Policy will assist in protecting you the employer.
